There is no need to ever spend a single dime on your continuing education credits to keep your MT-BC certification.
There are many ways to earn 100 or more CMTE credits for free – expensive programs offered through approved providers like Music Therapy Ed are an option for financially privileged people, but you are not required to use this roster of businesses.

One way you can earn free credits is to read and analyze journal articles or book chapters. I have created several study guides that will walk you through this process step-by-step, if you don’t feel confident about simply reading the CBMT recertification manual. I also make these study guides available because they can be helpful for workplace discussions.
